WhipTail was acquired by Cisco. WhipTail released the first all-flash enterprise storage array in 2009 to address performance issues in data centers. Since then, customers have relied on WhipTail’s flash-based arrays for extreme IOPS, bandwidth and latency, optimizing performance of key business functions and bringing modern performance to numerous mission critical applications including: database, virtualization, and online environments.

Providing pre-sales technical support for the Rocky Mountain region for the XIV Storage platform. I am responsible for the technical aspects of the strategic sales process. As the local expert, I build customer solutions and educate customers, partners, and internal personnel on XIV.

Responsible for EMC’s storage management, reporting, and performance software (EMC ControlCenter, StorageScope, and Performance Manager) covering a regional area of 10 states. Provided pre-sales support as the storage management expert. Worked jointly building solutions, providing input to product management, and updating customers as new features were added. Obtained my expert certification as an EMC Technical Architect – Storage Management in record time.

Built a reference base for the Command Central Storage management product. I not only worked on-site at Fortune 500 accounts, but also worked remotely building engineering requirements documentation. I have also sponsored a software package to streamline field requirements into actionable engineering packages. Doing whatever it takes, the results thus far have been doubling our reference list and getting better information to engineering faster.

Built team of top senior systems engineers to provide both pre- and post-sales support to a growing sales force from first dollar to over $10M in less than 15 months. Not only as a manager, but also as a working Systems Engineer, I provided technical support mainly for Colorado and Northern California, but was responsible for all Systems Engineering issues in the West. Also served as a company storage expert providing input to engineering, marketing, and sales.
