Directed strategic inventory management, sourcing/procurement and customer service within 14 global operating divisions in NA, EU, AP, and LA. Accountable for $600M in spend, $125M in inventories, 225 employees and 6 distribution/service centers.• Implemented core inventory management practices within operating divisions including planning/scheduling protocols, sales/operations planning and inventory analytics resulting in our operating group establishing and maintaining inventory performance leadership.• Trained in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies used as a base for improving operational performance across enterprise. Utilized lean problem solving tools to identify slow moving inventories with root cause analysis and actions resulting in 22% reduction over 2 years.• Developed and implemented multi- source strategy to minimize supplier risk and leverage cost resulting in direct and indirect savings of $60M over 3 years. • Led supplier engagement, recognition and rationalization initiatives as a means to improve supplier performance. Supplier delivery performance increased in focus divisions from 72%-98% and lead times reduced 10% further improving inventory performance.• Led global negotiations with key global suppliers on long term agreements covering cost, quality, and continuous improvement. • Developed and implemented “eyes of the customer” initiative to ensure alignment between customer scorecards and internal data. Drove divisional review protocol with A-3 analysis resulting in service level improvement from 87% to 95% in one year.• Led growth of 6 facility Global Service Organizations providing distribution and value add services to key OEM customers in the heavy duty, aerospace and oil/gas markets. Consolidated facilities from 11 to 6 resulting in significantly reduced cost structure while increasing revenues, value added services, and improving service levels.
