It uses the English language, allowing users to describe complex, multi-disciplinary problems, making operations logical for non-specialists, and has unlimited potential across myriad industries.Jim has vast experience having worked across these industries, designing electromechanical machinery and securing international patents for them, designing electronic equipment and control systems, and overseeing mining design and construction projects.This broad experience gave him the idea that knowledge in all these areas could be represented by undirected structures - structures representing knowledge in different domains that when assembled, could provide answers to complex problems that were beyond the capacity of any human expert.Jim founded Interactive Engineering Pty Ltd to implement this idea and serves as its Managing Director. He has used software-based active-knowledge networks to solve complex dynamic problems, in areas ranging from banking, finance, earthquake damage analysis, big data analysis, airline scheduling, specifications analysis, and natural language processing - natural language turns out to be a natural target for self-modifying realised structures in logical hyperspace. The work has involved the re-imagining of the cognitive layer of computer science as an active and undirected structure with unlimited resources for its own growth. Having written numerous articles on the subject, his latest work is based on automatic reading of thousands of lengthy documents and answering natural language questions with up to 97% accuracy.New concepts that Jim is working on include; The interplay of logic and numbers, where each controls the other, Relations as objects, and The interplay of existential and propositional logic at a relation.
