As Asst. Plant Manager/Operation Director, I direct the production operations from Plastic recycling through the entire Smelting operations. I have reconstructed the supervisory staff. Directed operations of two hardware manufacturing factories in Reamstown, PA and Steeleville, IL producing products that creating $75M+ in sales. Key responsibilities were Hardware Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Materials Management, and R&D. Directly managed nine direct reports with dotted line staff of 120.• Improved product time to market by removing process wastes to reduce manufacturing total takt time from 5 to 2 days. Utilized process mapping, Kaizen events and visual shop controls to create a customer pull, Flow production process that met world class quality standards.

Managed DORMA Reamstown hydraulic door closers manufacturing efforts encompassing multiple machining departments, assembly, painting, packaging and shipping disciplines. Key responsibilities other than production activities included factory safety, applying company policy, and hiring production members. Managed seven direct reports supporting 110 production staff.• Commissioned and installed multi million dollar machining centers producing machined aluminum door closer castings. Developed ergonomic packaging methods that improved shipping quality while increasing packing through put. Coverted electrostatic paint application system from lacquer to water born urethane paint improving quality while significantly improving environmental results.

Provided engineering technical assistance for automatic and manual Hot Rolling Mills operations. Coordinated production and maintenance work activities while managing outside contractor projects. Arranged supplier purchases and controlled production inventories.
