By day, I'm Graphic Design Manager for one of the UK's leading vehicle graphic specialists. I manage a small team that covers a wide range of briefs, from racing cars and transatlantic rowing boats to branding solutions for local businesses.I've worked with some of the UK's most prestigious vehicle makers, creating high end supercar liveries and limited edition prestige kits, right through to eyecatching graphics that stand out on your local forecourt.I also work regularly with large scale wall graphics and signage, from brand guideline driven corporate jobs right through to illustrated educational boards that line the halls of local schools. I've worked across literally thousands of briefs in my nearly decade long career in this field.By night/weekend I'm a Fine Artist affiliated with a local art studio in my home town of Chelmsford (UK).Whereas in my day job I'm limited to set times and guidelines, in the evenings I can really let my imagination run wild and get my hands dirty! I utilise this time as a welcome break from screen work, and adore the fear factor that comes from not being able to hit a key to undo a mistake. My work is primarily abstract in acrylic paint on canvas, often weaving in elements of collage, drawing, and writing.The studio recently held a highly successful group exhibition (alongside renowned local artist Billie Bond) at Chelmsford Cathedral. Entitled Tipping Point, the exhibition was focussed around the climate crisis, a cause which is very close to my heart. I undertook a central role in the organisation and execution of the exhibition, contributing graphic design work in the form of a companion booklet and assorted signage, as well as a local radio appearance to promote the show. In the past I have also worked extensively with portraiture, creating dozens of works for commission that now belong in private collections throughout the UK. I also regularly create digital illustrations and animation work with a collaborator in Australia, the results of which have a dedicated following on YouTube.
