With a dedicated group of volunteers, I lead this local 501-C3 charity that takes chronic and terminally ill kids from the Cedar Valley area on an all-expenses paid trip to Disney World each year. Over the past 18 years, Magical Mix Kids has taken over 200 kids and their families on the trip. The budget for each trip is approximately $75,000. Major fundraisers include: The annual charity auction, put on annually by RE-MAX Home Group on the last Friday in January; The Toad's Chili Cook-On at Toad's Bar and Grill in Cedar Falls; The Snowflake Express holiday train ride, presented by Iowa Northern Railway.
