CAREER SUMMARYMr. Compton has over 35 years of engineering, IT, marketing and business development experience. In his current position, Mr. Compton currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for ESP Associates, Inc. Mr. Compton has been involved with engineering, engineering software and business development since graduating with his BS degree. In the software industry, he began as a straight commissioned sales representative and worked his way to owning Euclidean Systems, Inc., a company that marketed 3D engineering hardware and software. In engineering, he began as a junior design engineer and eventually started, owned and operated his own engineering firm, Civil Engineering Technologies (CET). At CET he served as the managing partner responsible for financial and marketing efforts. After the sale of CET to Titan Atlantic, Mr. Compton continued to work in a business development/marketing role for Titan until he joined Kimley Horn & Associates. Nearing the completion of his MBA, Mr. Compton joined ViOS, Inc., a software development company. At ViOS, Mr. Compton’s main role was manager of the company’s strategic partners. In 2003, Mr. Compton joined ESP Associates, Inc. as the manager of ESP’s Raleigh office.Mr. Compton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering as well as a Masters of Science in Management from North Carolina State University.
