Jim moved to Chicago in 1995 to participate in the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists. Upon leaving, he was managed by Columbia Artists and performed in various locations throughout Europe and the United States. He currently sings the national anthem for the Chicago Blackhawks as well as the Mecum Auto Auctions. Since 2017, he has taken over Jim Nabor’s role at the Indianapolis 500 singing Back Home Again in Indiana. He has performed for all of the major sports teams in Chicago, and has been featured on the Today Show, Harry Connick, Jr. Show, the Colbert Report, NPRs Morning Edition, the Scott Van Pelt Show and other national news segments. Jim was inducted as the Honorary Squadron Commander of the USAF Bands of Mid-America, is an honorary member of the Chicago Chapter of the Young President's Organization-Gold, founded Live the Salute, a charity supporting veterans and served as an advisory board member of the Patriot Education Fund. He contributes regularly to other charitable efforts, particularly with veteran's support organizations. As of November of 2022, Jim has been engaged promoting Native Frame, a company that designs fully integrated live streaming video platforms to empower sports teams at all levels, musicians, performers and performing venues, educational institutions, auction houses, and others, to reach and interact with their audiences, fans and customers.
