Supervised editorial staff of three in conceiving and writing stories. Assigned stories to freelance writers and edited their work. Wrote editorial and six regular columns for each issue. Edited stories and developed new editorial features throughout the magazine. Coordinated design and layout with Creative Director and Art Director. Created production department schedules and directed pre-production preparations & daily production. Designed various layout, imposition and office forms used in the day-to-day production of the magazines. Helped design the various databases used for compilation of the magazine's TV schedules. Maintained a database of over 275 television networks and contacts. Updated content of web pages utilizing Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Supervised a production staff of up to 15 employees. Experienced in layup of pages, paginating and sending to imagesetter and making plates. Attended satellite industry trade shows & promoted our satellite dealer programs and magazines. Attended Print, Seybold and Windows World trade shows and seminars around the country to learn about new technologies & equipment as related to the printing industry and helped implement them into our production process.
