Design and detailing of custom concrete manufacturing equipment (mixers, batchers, conveyors, platforms, storage bins, complete batch plants, etc.) for industrial applications. I utilized 2-D and 3-D solid modeling (CAD) to design parts, assemblies and production facilities, create Bills Of Material, detail drawings for fabrication and installation packages. Additionally, I designed automated data entry forms for company-wide use.

Received custom truck body specifications through sales staff, then created material and labor estimates, drawings and performed weight studies based on customer needs. Once orders were placed, I created Bills Of Material to be purchased for the job. I also designed hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems as needed. During the project, I continued to monitor progress and produce system documentation (owner’s manuals). Once completed, I analyzed expenditures to determine estimate accuracy to actual purchases. I also maintained records of performance for future estimate cross-referencing. While in this position I implemented processes which reduced estimate times by over 60%, designs by over 40% and costings by over 50%

CAD design, quoting/estimating, programming, customer service, QA, system administration, computer maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. I supervised three people. Tools included Cadkey, Excel, Word, Access, Scan-2-Cad, AutoCAD, Anderson-O'Brien, 3 Trumpf CO2 lasers, 1 Flow abrasive waterjet, 1 Hurco machining cell, and 1 Trumpf CNC press brake. I was also a member of the Quality Control team.
