Jimeet Modi started investing in capital markets at age 14. After a few setbacks in trading and bouncing back from them, he realised that the market requires a great deal of ingenuity and in-depth knowledge. With this insight, Jimeet completed his chartered accountancy with a All India Rank 9 and CFA qualification from the ICAI institute and CFA institute respectively. He started his career as an intern with Deloitte India and E&Y India, auditing large clients like Reliance Industries, Cadbury India, JSW Steel and DSP Merrill Lynch. This experience gave him a deep understanding how multi-billion dollar businesses functioned. Powered by this experience, he joined the family firm, Samruddhi Group, as vice-president.In 2015, Jimeet founded SAMCO Securities to assist small investors in stock markets. He also set SAMCO Securities on an aggressive growth path through product development, enhanced customer experience, revenue expansion and a strategic direction for the firm.In 2018, Jimeet launched The Giga Trading Engine, which uses artificial intelligence to convert large amounts of market and financial data to search and generate trading/investing ideas. On the back of this tool was launched StockNote, a one-touch customised trading application that educates investors and keeps them updated about industry events that could impact their holdings.An ardent admirer of Warren Buffett, Jimeet believes that a business can have sustainable profitable growth only by building practices that can be protected and defended. He believes that wealth can be created only if genuine value is created for the consumer.
