Jimena Garcia is Manager of Inclusive Research Programs at Allen Institute, where she leads and spearheads efforts to enhance equitable advancements and diverse perspectives in science. She has over nine years of experience in directing enterprise health equity initiatives, managing research programs, patient engagement and clinical operations across the health and science sectors.She obtained a B.S. in Neuroscience from University of California, Santa Cruz. She is also certified in Project Management and in providing Meaningful Care to Refugees, Asylum seekers, and Humanitarian Migrants.Jimena's mission is to champion health equity across industries to improve health outcomes for all. She believes that solutions without the voice of those most disproportionately impacted by disease and technology are prone to fall short in delivering equitable advancements and sustainable change. She has demonstrated this commitment by developing informed approaches for advancing inclusive research, managing Medicaid strategies across regions, leading informatics updates and digital tool assessments for more equitable care, and by increasing the visibility of community health workers (CHWs) as valued stakeholders within health systems.
