• Manages and participates in planning, developing, recommending, and implementing human resources activities, policies, procedures, and programs for company.• Manages activities relating to staffing, employee education and training, management development, labor relations, affirmative action, benefits administration, and salary administration.• Keeps records of any pension plan, personnel transactions, such as hire, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and terminations.• Participates in compensation and benefit surveys and/or conducts wage survey within labor market to determine competitive wage rate and remain apprised of current trends.• Writes separation notices for employees separating with cause, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.• Prepares and analyzes department budget to identify budget needs and/or reductions, and may allocate operating budget funds.• May represent company at personnel-related hearings and investigations.• Keeps records of hired employee characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.• Manages employee relations activities.• Communicates with Company Labor Lawyer as needed and will use their services to maintain that Employee Handbook is compliant with all State and Federal laws and Company policies.• Manages the offices and make sure all office and general cleaning supplies are maintained at comfortable levels.• Oversees Payroll Clerk in regards to time keeping and payroll procedures.• Administers all COBRA benefits.• Administers 401k plan.• Manages employee financial documents (worker’s compensation paperwork) for audit purposes.• Prepares documents for insurance companies including certificate of liability.• Maintains a customer service and quality focused environment.• Strong people skills which encourage approachability and employee trust.• Is committed to furthering the strategic direction of the company.
