Have you ever asked yourself: What would you do if you lost everything you hold dear? At 13 years old I had to live the answer to that very unfortunate question. In 2004 my mother was left paralyzed in a near-fatal car crash. From that point on I was completely on my own. As an emergent teenager, I needed to learn fast how to make and save money to survive and travel to see my mother in the hospital. I even started my own business being a DJ, private computer assistant, and a pastry shop to make extra money. But despite the frustration, the countless setbacks, and sadness… I kept going.For as long as I remember I have told myself: “Persistence overcomes resistance”. Now, I put that perseverance to work as a Recruiter at Dow Jones. I help my clients to ask themselves that same question I lived as a child. I hold strategy sessions and help my clients to design and implement strategies and backup plans to protect that which is most valuable to them.
