In 2004 my mother was left paralyzed in a near-fatal car crash. From that point on I was completely on my own. As an emergent teenager, I needed to learn fast how to make and save money to survive and travel to see my mother in the hospital. I even started my own business being a DJ, private computer assistant, and a pastry shop to make extra money. But despite the frustration, the countless setbacks, and sadness… I kept going.For as long as I remember I have told myself: “Persistence overcomes resistance”.
