I am a PMP Certified Project Manager providing both project management and technical expertise to my clientsBut that was not always the case … I started my career in technical support. I spent over ten years implementing and supporting a variety of software. In my experience, I found that companies favored support over planning and training. This emphasis on post installation support left the company struggling to get the full value out of the software they had purchased.Although I was very good at technical support, I often wondered if there was a better way. My colleagues and I, overworked, unmotivated, and constantly fighting fires but we never got ahead.To grow my career, I explored PROJECT MANAGEMENT.Project management was a revelation to me. It is the better way. I understood that my challenges were cause being reactive rather than proactive. Project management focuses on planning and training rather that on just support.I immediately joined PMI, studied hard and obtained my PMP. Through the PMP, I understood what was possible. Planning, leadership, and communication are the keys to successful software and business changes.. Today I am a project manager who has implemented a variety of custom applications.
