As the Senior Vice President and Chief Audit Executive at Cboe Global Markets, I lead the internal audit function of a global exchange operator and provider of financial market solutions. My mission is to deliver high-quality audit results and recommendations that support the company's strategic objectives and operational excellence, and to provide independent assurance and advisory services that enhance the company's governance, risk, and control environment.I have 25+ years of experience in internal audit, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance risk management, internal control, Sarbanes-Oxley, risk assessment, IT governance, cybersecurity governance, data analytics, and fraud risk assessment. I hold the CIA, CISA, and CRISC credentials, and I apply various frameworks and methodologies to assess and mitigate risks across the organization. I also partner with the board, senior management, and external stakeholders to communicate and align on audit priorities, findings, and actions. Additionally, I share my knowledge and insights as a part-time lecturer at DePaul University, teaching IT audit, enterprise risk management, compliance, and related corporate governance topics, and through volunteer roles with ISACA and the IIA.
