DesignLeading the design team that is dedicated to building an e-commerce platform that can support any business within the L Brands umbrella. The design team has been built from the ground up to support this new platform and we will see a two person team grow to teens throughout the year. Our team has led the effort to create roadmaps for all of our product teams that drive customer-facing features and functionality. Through this effort, we have implemented a customer-led development strategy that strives to answer the key question, "Are we solving a real problem that our customer has and will that solution provide value to them, and to us?"In addition to generating a new product strategy for our teams, I have also been leading the strategy and implementation of a design system that can support multiple brands on this shared e-commerce platform. This requires leading a design team dedicated to building robust, flexible, and scalable features and experiences that can be used by multiple brands and working in tandem with a dedicated front-end development team. I have also reformatted our interview processes, implemented peer review sessions, and advanced our design sprint practice to bring users to the forefront. By making designers accountable to one another, we are able to level of the design of the entire customer experience. ResearchLeading a team of researchers that specializes in several forms of user feedback, such as usability sessions, mixed method studies, generative research and strategy, and workshops. The team's focus has changed from primarily validating work that a product team is considering to being a forward-looking research team that can help drive product development strategy. We have been able to do this by implementing more self-service tools for our design teams.

Etsy MarketResponsible for the core product design team of etsy.com and the Etsy app. The team partners with Research, Product, Marketing, and Engineering to create holistic, brand-aligned products that connect millions of entrepreneurs with prospective buyers from all over the world. The types of projects we work on span from an on-boarding email series to designing the micro-interactions of our Convos product to let buyers work with makers to customize the items they buy through the marketplace. This year our team is heavily invested in search, listing-level information, and streamlining mobile checkout. Design SystemsTransitioning to managing our dedicated team of designers and engineers who are creating the tools to integrate our design language into our products with the highest level of efficiencies. This team is also working closely with our Brand teams to create the design language for all of our sub-brands as well.

As the design manager, I oversaw the progression of eight designers, a mix of visual and user experience. I was responsible for individual's progress while unifying the overall design of each of RetailMeNot's platforms. I met with senior product leaders monthly to scope priority of projects and planned team resources to align with business objectives.I initiated the implementation of "design sprints" to bring all stakeholders together for a condensed, focused period of time to iterate on ideas faster, and get designs in front of users more quickly.

As a board member, I was involved with curating work for an exhibition, formation of schedules and budgets, and worked with team members as new issues arose. The primary role was the production and presentation of product for the retail company’s flagship brand, Abercrombie and Fitch. Found new ways to improve workflow in own processes and worked with production director to improve work flow management amongst merchants, photo stylists, and the design team. With a promotion came added job duties of creating templates and standards for feature sections of the website across several brands. Secondary role consisted of design projects for intranet site as well as designing e-mails and company collateral. Also worked on the first release of the iphone app for Abercrombie & Fitch brand.
