Hands-on technology leadership roles from company inception, through IPO & merger. Built & managed 10 person Bangalore development office. Selected facilities, hired team, managed vendor relations, interacted with municipal agencies, and drove knowledge transfer.Responsible for US dev team staffing & recruiting. The company went through rapid growth and, prior to establishing lightweight processes, there had been needless hiring mistakes. Defined & managed efficient candidate workflow. Roles were more reliably and quickly filled. Expanded team by 48 in one year with superb retention.Consumer Support. Received patent and implemented technology to foster company-wide participation (CEO to newest hire) in responding to consumer issues. This permits problems to be identified, prioritized &addressed quickly; thereby, the total number of incoming consumer complaints remains manageable despite continual growth in business. I also managed local and international team of language specialists.Data Management. Defined, staffed and drove processes related to the processing of data from 100+ partners and the multiple millions of their continually updated revenue-generating records. Grew this from manual processes to machine learning based operations. Honed my scripting and mySql skills as well as owned the overall business function. Managed team across several US and International offices.Partner technical management (eg: AOL, Bing, Comcast, USAToday). Reviewed contracts & terms, implemented & monitored revenue-producing service.

Helped establish a new 50 person remote software development office for Intuit. Staffing, technical management, hands-on coding. Excessive traveling between East and West coasts, including having relocated for a year, was factor in deciding to leave.Defined features and functionality of the QuickBooks SDK and built a successful developer network around it. Implemented key components of QuickBooks SiteSolutions and QuickBooks XML API. (Java, Perl, VB, C/C++, PalmOS)Managed a bi-coastal developer support group. Led technical seminars, training and presented at large conferences. Worked with scores of 3rd party developers in building and marketing their applications via the Intuit distribution channel.

Joined company at inception and became an Intuit employee upon their acquisition of Boston Light. Hired and managed team of 11Built relationships with partners and customers.Hands-on development of an ecommerce platform for small businesses. Managed team of 12 software engineers and had matrix responsibility for QA, Documentation, and Release Engineering. The company went out of business in early 1999.Drove the implementation of desktop applications (email-to-FAX, broadcast FAX, voice messaging, FAX over IP). Constant interaction with partners, vendors, customers, and investors. Responsible for researching 3rd party offerings and building business relationships. Served as Security Consultant to both the Network Operations Center as well as all product development teams. Design and implement standards-based Network Security infrastructure. Cross product data security. Responsible for Firewall, Virtual Private Network, and Secure Email decisions for UNIFI's worldwide network. Managed partnership and development effort with Dublin-based Baltimore Technologies.

Worked as software engineer in small satellite office until that facility was closed. Initially, I was hired by Lotus to work on a high profile Notes application related to the upcoming Olympics. After successful completion of that work, I moved to the core development team (Iris) to work on Security features within the flagship product, Lotus Notes.Core development for Lotus Notes. Data Security and Authentication. Certificate Management. C/C++. Applied RSA cryptographic toolkit to Lotus Notes.

Responsible for nine developers and coordinating the efforts of a cross-functional team as well as being an individual contributor. Developed C and Lisp applications to prepare documents for on-line distribution. Provided full-text indexing and retrieval. Numerous in-house tools, filters, and utilities.
