Jim Joseph currently leads the Network of the Future under the UPS Better & Bolder Strategy, putting a focus on speed and ease for customers, people-led company culture, and innovation to improve to U.S. revenue quality. This effort will lead the company to a more efficient way to serve customers with an emphasis on using automation and other innovative technologies. Aligned with network solutions and value-added services, Jim will also lead the USPS customer integration.He previously served as president of UPS Airlines, responsible for the operations of both UPS’s global airline and Worldport, the company’s main air hub in Louisville, KY. The role includes oversight of flight operations, maintenance and engineering, package sorting and safety. UPS Airlines, one of the largest in the world, ensures the on-time delivery of millions of urgent shipments to 220 countries and territories around the world.Jim also served as region manager, UPS Air Global Network and Product Strategy, he led a realignment of the company’s air strategy. As president of UPS Global Engineering, he had responsibility for domestic and international engineering, helping to build a stronger foundation for UPS’s growth strategy and operational excellence around the world.Jim began his UPS career in 1992 as a package handler in the West Los Angeles District. He earned a bachelor’s degree in from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a master’s degree in global management from Thomas Edison University.
