Jim’s professional career began in the spring of 1984 in Fort Lauderdale FL as a Registered Representative with Charles Schwab & Company. He spent two years servicing independent investors and gaining valuable work experience before joining JW Charles Securities as a Financial Advisor. While at JW Charles Securities, he began the practice of offering advice to individuals and small businesses on various investment concepts. In 1988, Jim opened an independent financial planning practice in Pompano Bch., FL to focus on long term financial planning. He expanded his client base by conducting financial planning seminars and co-hosting a local radio program on investing. In October of 1991, Jim went to work for Nationwide Financial Services where he held various positions including Regional Marketing Director and Director of Wholesaling. As a Regional Marketing Director, his responsibilities were marketing to and training investment professionals on insurance products and retirement plans. His responsibilities as Director of Wholesaling focused on training Nationwide’s wholesalers on a variety of investment products, including separate accounts. In 2001 he joined Lincoln Financial Distributors as a Regional Director to market investment and insurance products, long term care and retirement plans to independent financial advisors. In February 2004, Jim accepted the position of Georgia’s Regional Director with Money Concepts and opened his own independent wealth management practice.
