I have spent my career investing for institutional and ultra-high net worth clients. I am very fortunate to work in a field I enjoy immensely while having a direct impact on the clients I serve. At Dreyfus, I was a buy-side equity analyst doing fundamental research on a broad range of consumer related industries. This experience allowed me to learn what drives successful businesses and investments at a very micro level. While at Dreyfus, I was also able to develop my academic understanding of investing by taking night classes to successfully complete the CFA program and get my MBA from NYU.I transitioned to Portfolio Management and working with clients at JPMorgan Investment Management. I took my skillset as an an analyst and applied it across the entire US equity market as a Portfolio Manager. I also began to learn the craft of working with various institutional clients including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and Endowment and Foundations. Before leaving JP Morgan, I spent three years at the JP Morgan Private Bank in US Equity Research on Third Party Managers (finishing as the Director). This final opportunity allowed me to expand my analytical skills into manager research and also introduced me to ultra-high net worth clients. In 2009, I joined Colonial Consulting serving as Investment Consultant/Portfolio Manager to multiple Foundations and Endowments ranging between $20M and $500M in AUM. I came into the position without an existing book of business but was able to secure more than twenty relationships over time. I work with predominantly Endowments and Foundations, but I am also fortunate to work with several private clients and defined benefit pension plans. Personally, I enjoy reading, running, routine exercise, and investing my own portfolio, but more than anything I enjoy spending time with my family.
