Initiated, designed and managed a new startup, value-added, corporate service division that provided customized car rental business solutions for key customers. Adapted proprietary ARMS application (Automated Rental Management System) to provide web-enabled, B2B, direct connection of company computers with partner companies, including large insurance customers, VIP clients, and other third-party providers. Leveraged technology and people to provide extraordinary customer service, improved accuracy/productivity, and real-time customized reporting. • Managed a team of 4 supervisors, and 40 call-center agents to handle over 10,000 transactions per month, meeting and exceeding contractual service level agreements and customer satisfaction scores• Developed a new standard of automation with various insurance company partners to simplify and streamline the car rental process for insureds who had their cars in the shop as a result of a collision • Partnered with Information Technology team, National Marketing, software vendors, and customers to introduce innovative business solutions that leveraged technology to solve challenges• Introduced first formal VIP Rental Program in the company’s history that offered unprecedented levels of service and convenience

Managed and directed ECARS, the Enterprise Computer Assisted Rental System, which computerized the point of sale process at car rental locations nationwide. Directed the initial and ongoing nationwide training of branch rental personnel. Oversaw design of the user interface and computer processes that managed customer transactions, inventory tracking, maintenance, payments, accounting, sales, security, and numerous other functions. • Analyzed business needs and designed ECARS user interface to streamline the car rental process, resulting in faster transactions, increased efficiency, better customer service, and enhanced revenue• Partnered with I.T. Department Senior Leadership, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Programmers, and User Testing to add increased functionality, and provide error-free software upgrades • Created and implemented a Branch Employee Training Program, including a “Train the Trainer” program that was used to cascade knowledge quickly and facilitate faster program introduction• Authored an ECARS Training Manual for all rental branch personnel, established an ECARS Help Desk to assist system users nationwide, and managed “IntERACtions”, a monthly training newsletter to inform users of software changes and upgrades to maximize user expertise and enhance customer service
