I was born on the move – I attended six schools across the country as a child. I spent my formative years chasing a dream of qualifying for the US Olympic Sailing team (almost made it). In 1981, I began my career at Procter & Gamble, getting my first position by refusing to leave the lobby until they gave me an interview. Years later, at 33, I became the CEO of Beech-Nut Baby Food, a division of what was then Ralston Purina while earning my MBA from Washington University. This was just the first chapter of 30 years in the CPG Industry. My keys to success are as follows: 1) Collaboration across the entire organization 2) Creativity to magnify the available resources and 3) A spirit of Competitiveness that breeds confidence.
