He built his career developing staff and leading organizational change including moving a firm cross-country while enhancing organizational capacity and strategic positioning. He led the development of strategic plans including the design of organizational metrics to help ensure progress on organizational goals. In addition, he was in charge of numerous financial and facilities plans where his listening skills were keen to develop recommendations and priorities.Throughout Jim’s career, he worked extensively to change the culture of various organizations he served including the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He has well-developed people skills and enjoys interacting with others to develop shared visions on complex problems.Jim has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University, a MBA in finance from Boston University and a doctorate in higher education finance from Kansas State University. He has worked with Boards of Directors and University Trustees throughout his career.Jim serves or has served on approximately 20 non-profit and for-profit boards including board leadership positions.
