Coffman Engineers is a multidisciplinary, ENR Top 500 privately held engineering firm (#177) that specializes in civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, corrosion control, survey, and other engineering disciplines. Coffman employs nearly 600 staff members throughout 17 offices.Advised board and executive team on financial opportunities and implications of business decisions. Member of Executive, Compensation, M & A, 401(k), and Benefits Committees. Active trustee of the Company’s $100M 401(k) plan. Managed accounting group (billings, payroll, vendor payments, and taxes), financial operations, risk management, contract review, legal matters, insurance, procurement, and real estate. Led presentations at annual retreat as well as throughout year. Reported to CEO and worked closely with Human Resources, Marketing, IT and the General Managers (Profit/Loss leaders). Managed two direct reports (Controller and General Counsel) with total staff of 18. • Completed a 10-year full redesign of struggling company healthcare plan to a premier self-insured, consumer driven healthcare model. Results included lowering cost of premiums for employees and Company (outperforming market trend for 6 out of 7 renewals)• Developed and led ten-member cross-functional M&A team to identify and acquire target companies Led negotiations in tandem with CEO, and executed closings. Completed eight acquisitions in seven years, including three in 2017. Mergers were responsible for half of company growth rate. • Oversaw modernization of all key accounting systems, which included a paperless initiative to increase accuracy and efficiency. • Oversaw procurement of business insurance (including professional practices insurance, E&O). Migrated from domestic carriers to Lloyds of London and managed relationship and with agents. Saved company millions in cost of insurance.

In this newly created position, took on strategic visioning and broader responsibilities in preparation to transition into CFO role. Oversaw company-wide budgeting, insurance procurement, and legal issues. Served as 401(k) Trustee, Benefits Committee member. Attended Board of Directors and Compensation Committee meetings. Managed two direct reports (Controller and Administrator) and reported to CFO.

Lycos was one of the original internet search engines and was a major player in hosted sites space. • Evaluated products within the new corporate strategy (to revitalize brand) and made recommendations to senior management.

T-Mobile, the third largest wireless carrier in the United States with 84.2M customers end of Q3 2019.• Created a formalized intake process for external requests by 3rd party companies seeking partnerships.• Evaluated new technologies and companies for partnership viability.

University Wholesalers, a tire distributor in New England, generated $40 million in sales in 2004 with 40 employees. Acquired by Nokian Tyres in late 2005. • Developed strategy to increase market share dramatically and expanding annual sales from $200,000 to $1.2 million within three years. • Designed next-day delivery system to move 1200 units per week more than 300 miles to over 60 accounts, and achieving positive net cash flow one year ahead of schedule.• Adapted corporate culture and practices of rural Vermont company to address the complexities of the Boston marketplace resulting in modernized practices including online ordering.
