Co-founder of Propellernet in 2002. The journey of Propellernet continues to excite and drive all those involved. Today my position is Non-Executive Director.From fledgeling SEO Consultancy to an award-winning integrated digital marketing agency, to a SAAS provider to the online PR and search industry, the success of Propellernet has been centred on our willingness to innovate, adapt our income streams and empower our people.Our key learnings from this journey? You can't get it right every time and you have to be prepared to risk it. At times it was a clear pivot. Other times an evolution. Both are important. Where Coveragebook.com and Answerthepublic.com have worked, others have not. The lessons from those failures though are vital. Our faith in the journey - and a commitment to finding fun in all we do - is what continues to make it all so worthwhile.With largely Finance and Operational responsibilities, my skills have focused on turning "what if" conversations into reality. This has seen me create property investments, implement and manage multiple share schemes, flatten the company hierarchy, send staff on life-changing sabbaticals and place myself and my co-founder into non-executive positions so that we could hire exceptional leaders to drive the business forward.Bringing quality people into the business and investing in their development has been hugely rewarding. It has taken strong leadership and some timely bold decisions but the industry recognition and friendships have been the rewards.Between Propellernets base in Brighton and my family home in Annecy, France I continue to take a hands-on role in growing the business from a strategic and operational position. There is no way in 2002 we could have planned where we are today.
