As District Director, I am the CEO of a communications and leadership development organization located in the state of Virginia from Fredericksburg to the North Carolina border and from Virginia Beach in the East to Blacksburg in the West. Directly oversee a management team of 11 as well as a District management team of 600 located throughout the state of Virginia. Current goals include serving and supporting our membership, establishing a quality personal and professional development environment, creating a fun learning environment and achieving excellence through our Distinguished program goals.

As Program Quality Director, work together with the District Director and the Club Growth Director toward accomplishing the District mission. Responsible for all aspects of education and training within the District including supporting quality club programming efforts, promoting the Distinguished Club Program, and planning, organizing, and executing the District conference. Also responsible for promoting and supporting club quality and member retention. Along with the District Director and Club Growth Director, develop and execute the District success plan outlining District Goals, plans, and activities for the Toastmaster year. Will participate in District Leader Training conducted by Toastmasters International World Headquarters. Will also form new and/or strengthen existing relationships with Toastmaster leaders worldwide. As a District Trio, will interview and elect Toastmaster International Board members and leaders. Will also work with other leaders to recommend improvement to Toastmaster policy and operational strategies worldwide.

Elected to serve as Club Growth Director for District 66, which includes 86 clubs and almost 1,200 members. As Club Growth Director, served as one of three senior District officers known as the District Trio. Worked together with the District Director and the Program Quality Director toward the District mission, Responsible for all aspects of marketing, club-building, and club-retention efforts within the District including defining an overall marketing strategy, developing outreach and club retention efforts with existing community and corporate clubs, and penetrating new markets. Also helped support struggling clubs through mentorship and assigning club coaches to assist in becoming a Distinguished club. Alongside the Trio, developed the District Success Plan to identify goals and milestones for the year. As a member of the District Trio, participated in District Leader Training conducted by Toastmasters International World Headquarters and assisted in elected International Board leadership positions for the Toastmaster year. Also worked with other Trio members from Toastmasters Districts worldwide to make suggestions to International Board Members for the improvement of the Toastmaster organization. Achieved Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation (this designation has only been achieved by approximately 1% of Toastmasters worldwide).

Elected to serve as Division Director overseeing 4 Areas and 16 Clubs in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Through the support of the Area Directors, ensured that each club complies with Toastmaster International By Laws, achieved its mission and fulfilled its responsibilities to its members. Set Division Goals through the Division success plan, coordinated and/or approved all Division Activities, encouraged member participation, and assisted in the training of Area Directors and club officers. Recognized as the Division Director of the Year Award for Leadership during tenure.

As club president, served as the chief executive officer for a 15 member club. Responsible for fulfilling the mission of the club, presided over all general and executive board committee meetings, appointed all club committees; and in general, supervised all club activities and operations. Led the creation and implementation of the club success plan and achieved President's Distinguished status for the club (accomplishing 10 out of 10 goals regarding education, membership, administration, and club officer training).

Appointed as Area Director, served as the direct liaison between the District and five clubs. Conducted multiple club visits with each club to understand and support club needs. Documented each visit in an Area Director report to assist senior District leaders in understanding how to support and meet the needs of each club. Also identified and encouraged potential future club and district leaders during club visits.

As Vice President Education, served as the second ranking club officer for a 15 member toastmaster club and was responsible for planning, organizing and directing all club activities and programs to meet the educational needs of individual club members. Chaired the education committee and served on the club executive committee. During tenure, instructed members on new electronic education program (pathways) and doubled member education participation for the club. Received excellence in education award from the District recognizing the club's educational accomplishments during tenure.

I am an author and speaker who specializes in disability parenting as well as servant leadership. With over 28 years of leadership experience, I use faith, personal experience and purpose to help leaders at all levels realize their full potential. State of Virginia certified Small, Woman-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certified program participant (Certificate # 813250).
