I was appointed in September 2023, and presently serve, as the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Commissioner of District 5 which is located in Northern Colorado. https://www.codot.gov/about/transportation-commissionI am an investor and board member of Ride DNA who's first product is RODL, a patented, innovative bike product that combines Bluetooth technology with ergonomic bike grips giving riders the ability to safely and easily control their mobile devices, such as phones and music, while on-the-move. https://ridedna.com/I serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors at the nonprofit Off the Hook Arts in Fort Collins, whose mission I love. https://offthehookarts.org/During my business career I founded and was the CEO of Syscom Services and ThreeTimesTech; technology companies headquartered i the DC area, with divisions specializing in large Web development projects, digital marketing, content management systems, data capture, network and cloud fax capabilities. Syscom Services and ThreeTimeTech were sold in 2014 and 2016 respectively. On the personal activity side I greatly enjoy playing tennis, pickleball, golf (anything with a ball) and traveling with any and all of my great family members and friends.

In August of 20123 I was appointed to represent District 5 in Northern Colorado.Under state law, the powers and duties of the Transportation Commission of Colorado include:Formulating general policy with respect to the management, construction, and maintenance of public highways and other transportation systems in the state;Advising and making recommendations to the governor and the General Assembly, relative to transportation policy; andPromulgating and adopting CDOT's budgets and programs, including construction priorities and approval of extensions or abandonment of the state highway system. (The General Assembly appropriates the administrative budget for the Department.)
