Colorado's transportation systems are managed by the Colorado Department of Transportation under the direction of the Transportation Commission of Colorado. The commission is comprised of 11 commissioners who represent specific districts. Each commissioner is appointed by the governor, confirmed by the senate, and serves a four-year term. In August of 20123 I was appointed to represent District 5 in Northern Colorado.Under state law, the powers and duties of the Transportation Commission of Colorado include:Formulating general policy with respect to the management, construction, and maintenance of public highways and other transportation systems in the state;Advising and making recommendations to the governor and the General Assembly, relative to transportation policy; andPromulgating and adopting CDOT's budgets and programs, including construction priorities and approval of extensions or abandonment of the state highway system. (The General Assembly appropriates the administrative budget for the Department.)

Three Times Tech was spun off of the company in 2014 as a separate entity.Syscom helped clients select, design, implement and support best-of-breed technologies in the areas of web site development, content management and digital marketing. Three Times Tech marketed and integrated document management platforms, electronic fax, automated forms processing, data capture and imaging solutions. Clients for both companies spanned many industries including healthcare, non-profit, national associations, government agencies, political organizations, legal and more.

4Th Congressional District Of Colorado

I assisted with digital marketing activities for my wife's (Betsy Markey) successful campaign for US Congress in Colorado's 4th CD. After serving for two years in Congress she was appointed by President Obama to the Department of Homeland Security as the Assistant Secretary of Intra-governmental affairs. Betsy resigned that position in February of 2013 and followed it up as the Director of Economic Development and International trade for Governor Jarad Polis and the state of Colorado.

I started a company selling a little known product called electronic mail. We had a contract with MCI as the sales agent in the Washington DC tri-"state" area. I eventually moved these services into Syscom Services along with computer based fax services.

Helped take company involved in sales of old teletype equipment move into the fast growth technologies of facsimile and electronic communications products and services.
