The DC Ed Fund connects philanthropy with DCPS’ boldest and most cutting-edge ideas. We’ve raised over $180M in private dollars to innovate the way kids learn, how and what teachers teach, and what’s ultimately possible for an urban public school district.

CityBridge Education is a DC-based nonprofit committed to advancing equity and opportunity for children. We do that by reimagining public education, operating as an early-stage incubator of the people, ideas, and conversations needed for equity-centered innovation in DC’s schools. As Senior Director of Program Strategy, I lead the strategy development work for our incubator, designing programming for early-stage, overlooked and under-represented founders in their journey of starting an education venture or new school model.

As the Director of Incubation, I designed the programming and strategy for education leaders to design and build new school models here in Washington, DC.

4.0 connects, coaches, and invests in people to test new learning spaces and tools with their communities. In this role, I coach early-stage education entrepreneurs in launching their venture with a focus on equity and community.

The Philadelphia School Partnership is a nonprofit organization that invests in the creation and expansion of great schools in the city. PSP's Great Schools Fund provides growth capital to support the transformation, expansion and startup of high performing schools in the chart,, district, and private sectors. Specifically, I supported PSP’s $100 million School Investment Fund that creates and expands great schools by determining how best to allocate the Fund’s resources. I also managed relationships with schools, carried out rigorous financial due diligence processes, partnered with school leadership to develop growth strategies, and evaluated school portfolio performance.

I managed the college counseling teams across three high schools to ensure all seniors are meeting their college and career readiness goals, as well as created and managed the implementation of 9-12th grade college readiness lessons.

In this role, I support 12th grade teachers and meet the academic needs of our grade level. I also taught the Seminar in Innovation and Change, a senior seminar in design thinking and project-based learning. Specifically, I led and served as assistant principal to nine senior teachers and college staff members in achieving our academic and cultural goals, achieving 95% college acceptance rates each year and a 3.0 average GPA.

Serving as Dean of Social Studies and Foreign Language, as well as teaching 12th grade senior seminar. In the past three years at Sci Academy, I have taught 10th grade Civics, 11th grade US History and AP US History, as well as senior seminar. As our US History teacher, I was responsible for the guiding my students to the highest End-of-Course exam scores in a public, open enrollment high school in our region.

Facilitated over 40 high-impact training sessions to pre-service teacher fellows as they begin their teaching careers in summer school placements. Sessions focused on ensuring fellows internalized knowledge, skills and mindsets necessary to operate as a successful first-year teacher.

Facilitated over 60 high-impact teacher training sessions to 65 new corps members internalize knowledge, skills and mindsets necessary to operate as a successful first-year teacher.

Selected as member of highly selective national service corps, committed to teaching in under-resourced communities. I led the social studies department to improve passage rates on graduate exit exam scores, from 27% to 75% within 2 years.

Responsible for training, supporting and evaluating 8 new teachers in their first month in the classroom, as well as supervising their education coursework. Facilitated professional development sessions based on teacher’s needs, including lesson planning, balanced literacy, and classroom management.
