What I did for Bonneville was what I did for CBS Radio.

I ran the Los Angeles and Phoenix offices of the first and only media-owned sales promotion agency, producing three years of 120%+ annual revenue and cash flow performances by helping CPG brands activate across their trade channels.

I contributed government and journalism know-how to the sale and execution of large Public Affairs/Public Relations accounts (Motorola, Unocal) for one of the largest agencies of its kind in the US.

I served as Deputy Supervisor to future Peace Corps Director and US Ambassador Gaddi Vasquez, responsible for Criminal Justice, Public Safety and Waste Management policy as well as Media Relations.

I helped launch and then ran the day to day newsroom ops of a first-of-it’s-kind, locally focused, 24/7 SoCal cable news upstart as part of the Orange County Register newspaper’s first foray into TV. A commonplace practice now, you can’t imagine the resistance I encountered with Print Journalists who thought it below their credibility to appear on cable tv 😁.
