I was responsible for the execution of the weekly schedule while managing any disruptions to have minimal impact on productivity. This requires coordination and supervision of Shell / Contract craftsmen for daily activities and integration with Operations, Projects / Turnaround, and Technical Team. Also need to be able to work with HSE Coordinator to ensure the safety of work environment, through safe-work practices, safety meetings, tours, and equipment maintenance. Responsible for Validating and scheduling all Emergency and Urgent work orders, with input from Superintendent and Planner to understand the impact on production and need to ensure compliance with operating license and government requirements. This job also required me to work with Sulphur marketing, Sultran and Pacific Northern Rail to ensure production makes it to port.

Accountable and responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Shantz Sulphur forming facility, through resource management and understanding of Shantz operations and business needs. Daily direction of shift crew and maintenance and contract personel as events dictate. Specifically accountable for safe production, quality control and team leadership. Lead operator must be able to operate and trouble shoot, forming process, loading and unloading processes, pipeline operations, sulphur block and utilities.Able to direct crew in normal operations and in upset conditions. Stong focus on safety and the understanding of and ability to use Incident command system. Experience with maintenance management system (JDE) Coordination and leadership experience, strong troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills.
