My background encompasses 26+ years of digital marketing, public relations, and business development experience in B2B, government, ecommerce and consumer environments. I have provided strategic guidance and creative planning for clients including The LEGO Group, 7-Eleven, Wendy’s, Cisco, IBM, Ferrero, Clorox, Kikkoman, PepsiCo/Frito Lay, and Adobe in the ever-evolving realm of digital platforms, social influencers and content. My specialty is bringing brand experiences to life by converging these elements to spark conversation that builds engagement and ultimately drives action. What gets my professional adrenaline pumping most is social media war rooms. I've been an integral leader in war rooms for brands and companies including Doritos, Lay's, 7-Eleven, Clorox, Hyundai, Butterfinger, and Cisco. Another specialty that I've developed over the past decade is helping executives build their personal brands through social media content, thought leadership and engagement. I have led personal branding/visibility workshops and ongoing strategy for everyone from C-suite executives, to professional athletes to students. I am also an active speaker in conference circles and workshops, having spoken about the intersection of brands, influencers and social media at BlogHer, Dad 2.0, PR Newswire, CMO Club, American Marketing Association, Public Relations Society of America, PR Week, and the NFL Players Association. In other words, I rock the mic like a vandal in a corporate way.I've most recently made the jump from an agency environment to working in-house as the Director of Enterprise Social media at Caterpillar. Being able to focus all of my efforts toward one "client" is an invigorating shift that will enable me to effect both short term wins and a long-term perspective on creating lasting impact. It'll also afford me the luxury to not think of my day in 0.25 hour increments.
