I retired 31 August 2014, started in 1975. The position is a civilianized G2, in charge of all intelligence and security operations in 26 states and 32 countries.The G2 is the principal staff officer responsible for providing intelligence to support current and future operations and plans. Preformed normal CI activities at both 4th CIT and later Base CI, Camp Lejeune, NC. For five months I worked as the sole agent when my chief retired. During this time I assumed the job of Security Coordinator of the USMC vs. Garwood trial. I was in constant contact with national network media. I also conducted security manager inspections on subordinate units. I conducted unannounced security inspections after hours utilizing DAME/locksmithing skills to penetrate units as a Hostile Intelligence Service would. During this tour of duty I also was detached for temporary duty with Naval Intelligence Service. I worked as a case officer on a Chief of Naval Operations approved Sensitive Intelligence Operation.Additionally, I was a member of the first USMC SWAT team at Camp Lejuene.

Trained as a Marine Corps Infantryman. Deployed on two BLT Mediterranean cruises in the raid company. Trained in raids in build up areas. Highest position obtained: Platoon Sergeant. In Nov 1976, I competed and won the Marine of the Month Competitions at the following levels: H Company, 2/6 Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment and 2d Marine Division.
