The Army Counterintelligence (ACI) Special Agents Association (ACISAA) is a nonprofit professional military and law enforcement association supporting current and retired ACI Special Agents (both military & civilian) in all three components of the United States Army (Regular Army, National Guard, and Reserves). I recently accepted a new position with the InfraGard Program, which is a partnership program with industry and FBI as the new National Sector Chief for the Defense Industry Base (DIB). Started a new feature The Daily Brief which gives a wrap up of recent Cyber articles published around the web. Please send me good articles to highlight. I am also looking for authors and contributors of 500 to 700 word articles that are concise and focused. I will be coordinating and looking for ideas and ways to improve this publication.

The undergraduate and graduate Intelligence Studies programs have an Industry Advisory Council (IAC) that meets at least annually to review the programs and provide guidance and counsel on improvements to ensure we better serve the intelligence and national security disciplines and the IC community. The IAC recently underwent a revision that added more members who are involved in major intelligence community initiatives and/or who have insight into current intelligence discipline requirements and competencies.

I retired 31 August 2014, started in 1975. The position is a civilianized G2, in charge of all intelligence and security operations in 26 states and 32 countries.The G2 is the principal staff officer responsible for providing intelligence to support current and future operations and plans. As such, develops, implements and administers intelligence and threat based security programs in support of CECOM, its supported activities and projects. The G2 is also responsible for intelligence synchronization, counterintelligence, support to security programs and for coordination of counterintelligence activities conducted by INSCOM and other federal intelligence and investigative agencies. As the Career Program 35 Manager, the G2 also supports career development for all CECOM civilian CP 35 employees.Received Intelligence Community Joint Duty Assignment Credit.

Office Of Science, Safeguards And Security

While at the DOE, Lint ushered through Congress two budgets and oversaw 10 national laboratories security operations with an annual Safeguards and Security budget of $81 million. Lint’s recieved the DOE Superior Performance Award.

Assessed DIA, Army and CIA collection management tactics, techniques and procedures. Was Shadow Analyst at CIA Collection Analysis and had a CIA Collection Analyst detailed to DHS IA to provide support and insight.

Lint was first federal employee to work the Cyber Intelligence job at DHS IA. He produced mulitple classified threat reports.

Served as the Deputy Director, Intelligence and Security (S2) and Deputy Security Manager, providing technical guidance and instruction to the Commander, Staff and subordinate commands relative to information security, personnel security, physical security, and security education using policies from NETCOM, USFK, Eighth US Army, DA and DoD. This was a civil service position. Ensure compliance of all security disciplines through Command inspections and assistance visits. Advise and instruct project managers and planners of major communications projects concerning tactical and strategic security requirements and classified systems requirements. Discovered early need for intelligence support to cyber or signal organizations to create a better understanding of the threat to systems.

Served as a Counterintelligence Special Agent as a CI Instructor at Fort Huachuca; Korea during the 1988 Seoul Olympics; 902d Fort Meade; Ops Group; FIA; 202d MI BN, 513th MI Bde; 1994-95 Cuban Boat Lift, Chief of HUMINT Assessment Team; Korea; and Fort Meade.

Preformed normal CI activities at both 4th CIT and later Base CI, Camp Lejeune, NC. For five months I worked as the sole agent when my chief retired. During this time I assumed the job of Security Coordinator of the USMC vs. Garwood trial. I was in constant contact with national network media. I also conducted security manager inspections on subordinate units. I conducted unannounced security inspections after hours utilizing DAME/locksmithing skills to penetrate units as a Hostile Intelligence Service would. During this tour of duty I also was detached for temporary duty with Naval Intelligence Service. I worked as a case officer on a Chief of Naval Operations approved Sensitive Intelligence Operation.Additionally, I was a member of the first USMC SWAT team at Camp Lejuene.

Trained as a Marine Corps Infantryman. Deployed on two BLT Mediterranean cruises in the raid company. Trained in raids in build up areas. Highest position obtained: Platoon Sergeant. In Nov 1976, I competed and won the Marine of the Month Competitions at the following levels: H Company, 2/6 Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment and 2d Marine Division.
