Preformed normal CI activities at both 4th CIT and later Base CI, Camp Lejeune, NC. For five months I worked as the sole agent when my chief retired. During this time I assumed the job of Security Coordinator of the USMC vs. Garwood trial. I was in constant contact with national network media. I also conducted security manager inspections on subordinate units. I conducted unannounced security inspections after hours utilizing DAME/locksmithing skills to penetrate units as a Hostile Intelligence Service would. During this tour of duty I also was detached for temporary duty with Naval Intelligence Service. I worked as a case officer on a Chief of Naval Operations approved Sensitive Intelligence Operation.Additionally, I was a member of the first USMC SWAT team at Camp Lejuene.

Trained as a Marine Corps Infantryman. Deployed on two BLT Mediterranean cruises in the raid company. Trained in raids in build up areas. Highest position obtained: Platoon Sergeant. In Nov 1976, I competed and won the Marine of the Month Competitions at the following levels: H Company, 2/6 Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment and 2d Marine Division.
