My role is to ensure the company has the technology, intellectual property, culture, leadership skills, vision and execution to make our customers, our employees, and our company, successful. Peeractive is the innovation lab and parent company behind some of the e-commerce industry's most groundbreaking applications, including Drop ‘til You Shop® and Orion™. I was responsible for all technology development, dev ops, security and team management. In this small start-up, I was hands-on with the most recent tools, languages, development practices and leadership techniques. During my tenure, I rebuilt the Drop ‘til You Shop® prototype, added real-time intelligence and statistics, earned PCI compliance, reduced server costs 80% by migrating cloud providers and using container based micro services, increased scaling by over 100x, created an API-based tech model as well as our SaaS business model, integrated with multiple large-cap customers (including Fortune 500 companies), brought onboard the first sustained revenue-generating customer and kept a 24/7 site running. I hired well and developed a world-class team of unparalleled efficiency.Planned the product roadmap, and kept an extremely tight development budget. Analyzed user behavior and provided detailed statistics and analyses for customer insights.Created core innovation for Orion™, and filed provisional patent. Successfully managed the intellectual property efforts, and with outside counsel obtained two granted patents against Alice 101 objections.

In my 15 year tenure at Bell Labs, I was able to work in everything and anything necessary to advance telecommunications. I built large-scale, sci-fi like video conferencing, was a founder and influential leader in the inception of Voice-over-IP voice quality, invented software that is part of every smart phone sold in the US and EU, contributed to international standards, and performed external-facing consulting projects on topics ranging from voice recognition in cars to tracking logos in sports broadcasts, to the first wide scale video streaming over mobile phones. I earned dozens of patents in topics ranging from business methods for mobile communications, to memory optimization in video codecs, to voice quality prediction, to network measurement, to touch-screen user interface enhancements, to commercial ad insertion techniques in broadcasts, to all kinds of ways to optimize the delivery of information on IP networks.
