Investigations into the forces that shape the built environment; economics, demographics, finance, regulatory policy, technology, etc. A particular focus on emerging technology, specifically distributed ledger blockchain technology along with efforts to tokenize real world assets; debt, equity, real estate, IOTs, technical design & data, etc that could enable the crafting of new incentive schemes ‘micro economies’ to foster and unlock new value adding technologies and operations.

Senior Project Manager at Cooper Carry’s Planning & Urban Design Studio. Responsibilities included managing junior staff, client relationship management, drafting/reviewing proposals, reviewing RFPs, and business development strategies & efforts. I was the dedicated architectural resource for the Planning & Urban Design Studio, I led the effort to integrate Revit and BIM into the studio’s operations and researched residential market demand in and around the state of Georgia.Projects included residential neighborhood developments; military base housing, build-to-rent neighborhoods, LIHTC inclusive developments. I was Involved in concept studies and designs for various developments in partnership with the mixed-use studio. Involved in the proposed Microsoft Corporate Campus in Atlanta which has since been put on pause. Additional duties included peer reviewing construction documents and serving as a technical resource for residential mixed-use architectural projects.

Project Architect, primary focus on multi-family mixed-use, taking projects from the Concept Phase through Construction Documents/Permits and into Construction Administration in some cases. Leading project teams of staff architects & consultants, I am responsible for managing the workflow, schedule and client relationship.

Temporarily hired to help complete Construction Documents for two projects. The first; an IMAX Cinema Addition to an existing Cinema built of pre-stressed tilt-up concrete panels. The second; an Office that will be constructed within the steel frame of an existing partially demolished steel warehouse building. Additional responsibilities include the creation of project specific parametric family components in Revit.

January 2003 - January 2006 & April 2010 - December 2011Directly Involved in all project phases: Developing Schematic Designs based on client’s needs and budget, Zoning & Building Code Review, Design Development & Producing Construction Documents, Coordinating CDs with other Disciplines and responding to issues during Construction. Additional jobs include producing a work proposal in response to an RFP and assessing sites for potential development.The Work at Wiebenson & Dorman Architects range from additions to single-family homes in the DC suburbs, complete renovations of existing townhouses in inner-city Washington DC, as well as modifications and additions to institutional and office buildings throughout the city.

Developed the Master Plan for ‘Brookhaven Place’; a 50-acre mixed-use development in the Brookhaven Community of Atlanta. The development includes ½ million square feet of retail, 150,000 square feet of office and approximately 1500 residential units.Responsible for the DD & CD phases of two mixed-use buildings in ‘Biltmore Park Town Square’ (B.P.T.S.) in Asheville, NC. B.P.T.S. is a mixed-use development comprised of almost two million square feet of retail, office, residential and structured parking; all on a 40-acre parcel of land. The mixed-use buildings of B.P.T.S. blend office or residential over retail, often employing different construction types. In addition to fulfilling the role of Project Architect for two buildings, I performed various support roles for many of the other buildings.Led and coordinated team of staff architects and engineering consultants through the DD, CD and part of the CA phase of the Genworth Office Building and Parking Deck in Raleigh, NC. The Genworth Office Building is a LEED certified, six story, Class A office building built to house the Genworth Corporation’s offices and data center.
