Jimmie Singleton, AVI-SPL's Business Development Manager, has been in the AV industry for eight-plus years and served 4 of those years in higher education. Half of his time in higher education was spent as the Audio-Visual Technician for Conferences and Events at California Baptist University, overseeing all AV deployments for campus events, while the other half was spent as the Manager of Learning Environments at the University of Southern California, where he oversaw all classroom technology support services. In both of his roles in higher education, he worked to improve customer experience by helping non-technical audiences understand highly technical needs. Jimmie is excited to bring his previous knowledge of higher education to AVI-SPL and work with customers to design and implement solutions that best fit their institutional needs. In his time in higher education, he was named a member of Commercial Integrator’s “40 Influencers Under 40” list as well as a winner of the AV Awards “AV Service Team of the Year” award. He is a Certified Technology Specialist as well as holds a wide variety of AV & IT industry certifications.
