Implemented application monitoring using New Relic for a large segment of our Group Benefits platforms that was experiencing stability challenges. Extended the Java Agent for monitoring AIX and Linux distributions based on incorrect memory algorithms helping to pinpoint where problems were.Analyzed a business application (SCORE) that could take up to 20 minutes to start up. Presented potential solutions to management as well as development team. Changes to the application resulted in start up times moving to 4 seconds saving many man-hours over the course of the day across all offices.Conceived and executed a CI / CD solution complete with Tollgates that would allow a developer to be able to deploy code through a pipeline that would compile code, run unit tests, check for documentation, and scored code quality into a development environment. Further Tollgates were implemented in order to pass code to higher environments such as Code Reviews and Design Analysis.Created a solution for automation of schema and data migration for 30 schemas / databases across 11 environments using a combination of Flyway, PCF, and Bamboo.
