As CTO at BrainCool AB, I drive the R&D strategy for our medical cooling systems: BrainCool/IQool, Cooral, and the RhinoChill System. With 3-5 engineers and project leaders reporting directly to me, we focus on product performance, regulatory compliance, and leading programs to increase production capacity and optimize costs. We’re dedicated to delivering innovative cooling solutions that improve patient care.

As Product Design Owner at CoolPrevent, I led the development of the Cooral System, achieving a major milestone by securing FDA approval through the De Novo process. This breakthrough device was approved for use with all chemotherapy regimens to prevent oral mucositis (OM). I coordinated design, testing, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that the product met the rigorous standards required for U.S. market entry. My work contributed to the successful launch and ongoing market strategy, positioning the Cooral System as a key tool in cancer treatment support.

On site consultant from JNEC ABAssignment: Sustaining engineering of dialysis machines within mechanical designMost of the time spent at Baxter I worked in a team responsible for making cost reductions, updates and improvements on existing machines. As a design engineer I function not just as a designer but also in some projects as technical lead and/or project manager. From a technical point of view I worked mostly with plastic parts produced by injection molding, gluing and ultrasonic welding of plastic parts, but also with other manufacturing methods and processes, such as sheet metal.I was also involved in several process related projects to optimize the daily work as a mechanical designer. I contributed by writing internal guidances focusing on how to use the 3D CAD tool in the best possible way. The software used was Creo and PDMLink.

Jobbade med ett nytt utvecklingssteg av elskåpen till A6-maskinen, som även var ett kostnads-reduceringsprojekt. Jag var ansvarig för den mekaniska biten och hade tät kontakt med Rittal som var vår elskåps-leverantör.

Kortare uppdrag där jag jobbade med turbo, kompressorer samt ERG-system. Större delen av tiden jobbade jag med att ta fram aluminium-gjutna konsoler och utloppsrör. Då jag ofta hade kontakt med gjutaren lärde jag mig mycket om deras process och hur man ska kravsätta ritningarna på bästa sätt. Uppdraget genomfördes på avdelningen för yttre motordetaljer, och arbetet utfördes i Catia V5.

Konstruktion av svetsfixturer, giften, lägesvändare samt mindre manuella verktyg för produktion av bussramar. Arbetet innebar även att anpassa själva ramen efter tillverkningsprocessen, vilket innebar att man hela tiden behövde tänka ett eller flera steg framåt i processen. Mycket inom svetsning, och allt vad det innebär, tar jag med mig från detta uppdrag. Arbetet utfördes i Catia V5.
