Bird trainer, presenter, conservationist, falconer, twitcher and wildlife enthusiast with a particular passion for vultures and their conservation.I’ve had a passion for birds for as long as I can remember with over 25 years experience working with them. My career so far includes management positions at the globally recognised Parahawking Project in Nepal, International Wildlife Consultants, National Centre for Birds of Prey and Hawk Conservancy Trust where I produced and presented the highly successful "Hunters of the Sky Free Flight Bird Shows" at Longleat Safari & Adventure Park. I have been fortunate to work around the globe working with both wild and captive birds, spending time in Africa and Asia taking up roles on conservation projects mainly with critically endangered species. My love for vultures and their unfortunate decline led me to develop a fundraising and awareness campaign VultureConservation, Think Before They’re Extinct in 2015.Alongside working as a consultant I am a keen gardener and conservationist. In 2021 alongside my wife Helen we managed a 200acre estate on the west coast of Scotland overseeing the 9 holiday cottages and full time lets. The grounds and gardens were developed and maintained with Scottish flora and fauna sitting at the forefront. The Ardenstur Estate is home to a whole host of iconic Scottish wildlife such as White tailed sea eagles, Pine martens, Red squirrels and more.I like to think my affable and amiable personality brings a lot of positive energy to presenting television, radio interviews, educational talks and live shows.Where possible I like to make time to be available for part-time consultancy work advising and helping to develop free flight bird shows and presenters within zoological collections.In 2023 i joined 11Arches Park in Bishop Auckland as Head of Birds to develop an exciting new project.
