- Oversaw design department to create the concept, schematic drawings, and construction drawings for new energy efficient custom homes throughout the DC area originating from hand sketches and graduating to 3-dimensional models.- Partnered in design with a world renowned sustainability expert in analyzing and optimizing the way we build houses to make them more energy efficient and grid independent by employing the latest technological advancements in sustainability including solar power, geothermal heating and cooling, super insulated assemblies, and state of the art building science.- Worked with clients on goals for architectural style, energy efficient goals, and overall health and harmony of the home while creating a buildable end product for our construction team. Projects consisted of million dollar additions and renovations up to multi-million dollar homes. Position required an intense understanding of home energy usage, thermodynamics of different wall and roof assemblies and a detailed understanding of how a home is put together.

- Lead Project Designer for residential remodeling, renovations, and additions for Landis Architects/Builders throughout the Washington D.C. area and surrounding suburbs. - Create full scope of work, design concept, and complete permit and construction drawings, as well as provide a full range of finish selections and interior design concepts for every project. Projects ranged from bathrooms to kitchens to full house remodels and large scale additions.- Work directly with clients and lead salesmen to create a new vision for each home to address the specific needs of each homeowner while staying within budget, abiding by local codes and finishing within scheduled timelines. - Participate directly in estimating of projects from conception to construction, coordinating subcontractors while collaborating with our Project Manager who oversees all aspects of the construction process.

-Provided full architectural services for high-end residential homes from design development to construction document preparation to construction administration with direct collaboration from principals of company.-Designed various projects including renovations, speculative houses for local builders and custom residential projects incorporating various styles of residential design encompassing Arts and Crafts, Colonial, Modern, French Country, and Farmhouse Vernacular.-Created presentations of projects including hand sketched ink drawings to watercolors to high resolution 3-D renderings developed in SketchUp. Renderings gave specific direction on architectural style, door and window packages, trim packages, landscaping and siting and solar orientation.-Meticulously crafted detailed drawings of high-end interior and exterior finishes to identify vision for projects.-Collaborate directly with homeowners, builders and consultants to realize vision and identify budget restrictions.

- Participated in the design and management of residential and commercial projects from schematic proposals to permitting and construction under direct supervision of Principal and Lead Designer.- Projects include: retail, restaurant, and commercial projects for Fortune 500 companies. Experience with installments in airports, malls, high rise commercial buildings, and freestanding buildings.- Residential projects include a spectrum from small renovations to full scale, high end new houses.- Further Responsibility Highlights: hand drawn renderings, design proposals, style documentation, code research, real estate analysis, client interaction, 3D renderings, coordination of consultants, evaluation and analysis of bidding process.

- Created entire set of permitted construction documents including architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for the renovation of a residence in Coconut Grove, FL- Managed project through to completion through design, permitting, and construction

- Created highly detailed construction documents for large scale, high security addition to Homestead Air Force Base in Homestead, FL- Created and participated in engineering analysis of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system
