As chair of D10's Mosaic Awards Committee, I help to facilitate regular meetings of the Mosaic Committee, help to launch the 2023 - 2024 Mosaic nominations, and plan the 2024 awards dinner.

As the Immediate Past President of AAF Dallas, my main jobs included participating on the Executive Committee, attending regular committee meetings, and drafting the 2022 - 2023 Club Achievement Books.

AAF was founded to be the unifying voice for the ad industry in 1908. It created the Better Business Bureau system to support advertising self-regulation in 1912. We serve the ad industry by advocating for a unified Privacy Act, keeping advertising tax-free, honoring advertising excellence, promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and continue promoting self-regulatory practices, and more.

As 1st Vice President, Programs, and ADDY's Co-Chair, I work with multiple teams to ensure AAF Dallas' endeavors continue to move forward and adhere to AAF's goals and mission. While COVID19 has had a major impact on in-person events, our Programs team has put together a new weekly interview series, AAF Dallas Present In-Home Advertising. Serving on the 2018-2019 Board of AAF Dallas has been a tremendous experience and a great honor! As BBB’s Advertising Advisory Chair, my responsibilities are to primarily ensure that BBB’s mission of pursuing truth in advertising and focusing on educating businesses and consumers is a focus. In my capacity on AAF’s Board, I’ve played a large role in the 2018-2019 ADDY’s, Education, and Program subcommittees. We provide guidance and a unique perspective not typically seen in the advertising industry.

As Director of Ad Review I oversee a team of advertising investigators who constantly pursue truth in advertising in the North Texas area. Our department typically closes between 400 and 500 advertising review cases each year, in addition to sending 150 to 200 cease and desist letters to businesses infringing on BBB's trademark. We also enforce BBB's privacy requirements for accredited businesses that collect sensitive data. BBB was founded over 100 years ago to pursue truth in advertising, and it continues to be a critically important free service offered by all BBB's throughout North America. We've been very happy to be awarded the Outstanding Bureau Award for Best Ad Review Department and Best Single Ad Review case for the past six consecutive years. Education is a key objective of our job as well. We frequently speak at local universities, and our casework as been featured to teach Advertising/Marketing students about the importance of ethical advertising. I'm the 2nd Vice President for AAF Dallas, and seek to engage with the advertising community to remind them of the importance of transparent advertising practices. Every other year BBB|NCTX hosts an internal training conference to help educate other BBB staffers from around North America. We are joined by some of the brightest minds in the system, as well as our wonderful partners from various regulatory agencies.

All BBB's have an Advertising Review Department that promotes advertising self-regulation to ensure there is a mutually beneficial relationship between businesses and consumers. This program works with business to achieve the highest ethical advertising standards through self-regulation. BBB consistently monitors and challenges advertising that appears deceptive, misleading, or suggests unethical business practices. BBB Dallas proactively monitors advertising in all forms and challenges those advertisements which are generated in our service area. When an ad is challenged, BBB's ask the advertiser to substantiate, modify, or discontinue the advertised claims. If a company fails to substantiate, modify, or discontinue the challenged claims this becomes part of their company's BBB Business Review. The results of our investigation will then be appended to their file to the benefit of consumers and may be forwarded to the appropriate governmental regulatory agency if necessary.
