This role has seen me take responsibility for leading a new ‘data science and analytics’ department, devised to provide innovative business insights and aid data driven decision making.I’ve designed and deployed new ‘supply chain forecasting’ tools resulting in significant product availability and wastage improvements with expected record savings, and I have successfully redesigned and led the GB and IE ‘reporting and analytics’ business strategy.I’ve created a thriving network community of >130 ‘information analysts’ across the entire GB and IE national and regional departments. This has successfully enabled methods for data and reporting to be consolidated which has resulted in a new unified and cohesive reporting strategy to be achieved.My day-to-day responsibilities involve working closely with Business Partners to challenge existing reporting and analytics norms and collaborating with senior departmental stakeholders to advise and translate new technological solutions.I am responsible for defining project scopes, based on key strategic challenges and opportunities, and have been spearheading the ‘industrialisation of data science’ development project using Agile development sprints. I have successfully launched several data visualization tools, such as Tableau, resulting in the transformation of how the business consumes data across all management levels. I provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to support Business Partners to implement change and enjoy acting as a catalyst for innovation and excellence, helping teams to reach their potential.

In this role I worked alongside Directors on the development of a ‘customer offering strategy’ leading to substantial group savings. I led on the entire online retail merchandising and sales performance for wine & spirits GB and had responsibility for the operational management and team leadership of the weekly content build and publication for all non-transactional pages for GB and IE sites – monitoring progress so that we achieved timely and accurate delivery in line with all Marketing requirements.I regularly used customer acquisition tools and techniques which maximised revenue and was responsible for customer segmentation analysis to provide personalised on-site ads. I maintained and developed customer engagement across the site and was also accountable for new product launches, including seasonal lines, and managed fulfilment and logistics partner demand during peak trading times.

Undertook the trip of a lifetime with my fiancee travelling the world! Spent 6 months travelling across Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Chile - experiencing local life, foods, arts and entertainment beyond belief!

In this role I was one of 5 Project Managers tasked with successfully delivering the largest IT transformation project in global retail history to date. I had regular direct communication with the global senior management team, consulting on project scope and ongoing progress. I was significantly able to influence the system and process development strategy resulting in record transformation across the whole ALDI group.I managed the design, development and implementation of global financial planning and controlling processes using SAP solutions (BPC; cFin; BW; CO) and led international teams (>30 FTE) to shape new processes and reporting solutions based around a single global template. I had end to end Project Management responsibility, and this involved overseeing everything from project budgeting and resourcing through to deployment, hyper care and close-out – I was responsible for the overall success of the project, assuring all KPI’s were met on scope, time and budget.

This was my first formal project management position working at ALDI. Primarily my role was coordinating the GB and IE implementation of a global SAP FI-CO setup, with close cooperation from senior business leadership in line with international guidance and timelines.These responsibilities included the preparation of our legacy systems for migration including necessary data cleansing identification, key user management and the facilitation of all design requirements, change management tools and training structures. Moreover, in addition to this primary role I also managed and completed several other key projects including a redesign of our electronic payment processes, custom supplier report analysis and regional expansion activities to support our continued growth as an organization.

Here my role was as one of the key IT support staff for the GB and IE Corporate and Regional Finance teams. Here I had to support all regular and ad-hoc financial processes including period-end and consolidation of monthly/yearly financials. Moreover all custom reports on these financials would be setup by myself and my colleagues. In addition, all of the in-store payroll systems were under my daily responsibility; managing the shift work of tens of thousands of employees. The role also allowed me to work collaboratively with other departments, devising in depth business continuity management processes amongst other expansion related documents to help support our regular and rarer activities. For the first 18 months of this role, I also acted as the sole IT counterpart supporting the entire business' web technologies platforms. Everything from the support of our website to our e-newsletters, online brochures and mobile app were under my sole responsibility. As part of this support, I helped managed and implement a project focused on a responsive web design of our site, helping to set the way for completely new departments to grow with a significant business focus on our online presence.

Finance Analyst for GES. Responsible for compiling and maintaining multiple financial reports, outlining company risk exposure, variance analysis and monthly board reports. I also managed the company credit card system, responsible for 120 users monitoring monthly expenses.
