About Jimmy E. Hernandez, Rn-Bsn, Ccrn

The human body is a spiritual, emotional, and social temple that must be thoroughly cared for. As a nurse, it is vital to center care around the patient and these different components. This is a philosophy I have built my practice upon in order to provide quality treatment that targets every aspect of the individual’s construct. During my time as a caregiver, I focused on implementing a holistic approach to the patient's care. The job required hours of physical therapy, assistance with activities of daily living, and the organization/administration of different medications. Overall, I was able to focus on prioritizing care while enhancing my bedside manner and time management skills. During the BSN program at California Baptist University, I acquired over 945 clinical hours on various medical units while maintaining a 3.92 gpa. The nursing program provided students the opportunity to develop a foundational knowledge on patient assessments, medication administration skills, and patient safety. I desire to further my education by obtaining my Masters of Science in Nursing in order to embark on the career path of a Nurse Practitioner. I have received training in ACLS/PALS as well as Emergency Management and Disaster Readiness.
