CEO of a combat aviation brigade consisting of an Apache attack helicopter battalion, a Black Hawk assault battalion, an air cavalry squadron, a general support aviation battalion and an aviation support battalion. Responsible for the health, welfare, and training of over 3,500 soldiers as we prepared for combat operations in Afghanistan. Responsible for the tactical and technical employment and maintenance of 119 helicopters and over 1,000 pieces of ground equipment. Responsible for the management of an $8 million ground support budge and a $62 million flying hour program.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the 101st Airborne Division consisting of 24,000 soldiers. Administered the duties of the Chief of Staff in his absence. Served as the Chief of Staff’s primary assistant and action officer. Responsible for supervising the staff’s execution of a broad range of tasks, and for approving and assigning staff responsibility for all administrative and tactical orders received and issued by the division. Specific areas of emphasis: synchronization of the division battle rhythm; manning the division staff; daily and weekly updates from the Commanding General to the Corps Headquarters.
