About Jimmy Black

I firmly believe that it’s almost impossible to achieve great things if you’re doing what everyone else is doing. Two traits that have always driven me are my desire to be foremost in all that I do and my commitment to innovative thinking. As a leader, I’m proactive and assertive when it comes to implementing plans I’ve helped develop. Furthermore, my strategic thinking and adaptability has enabled me to achieve great things in my career.One of my favorite aspects of my work is building relationships with my customers to help them reach their short and long-term goals by finding the right products to help them grow their business. My capacity to listen, analyze their needs and strategically determine what changes need to be implemented has been crucial to my success. Similarly, my ability to adapt, which I’ve developed over a lifetime as the child of two military parents, has helped my career tremendously. My life experiences enable me to communicate and build relationships with a wide variety of customers, cross-functional divisions and teammates. I was born in Barstow, CA and have lived in Alaska, San Francisco, Arkansas, Washington, West Virginia, Ohio, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Long Island, NY, Jacksonville and currently Louisville, KY.Throughout my career I’ve shown that I’m an achiever, problem-solver, demand creator and proven performer. I use these traits to consistently develop strategic plans to achieve short and long-term goals, growth and profitability. If a project has my name on it, then I want it to be the very best. Conversely, I’m not deterred by thoughts of failure. If something has never been done before then I will set my mind to being the first person to complete it. That mindset helps me with one of my great passions, which is securing new business by converting prospects that have spent years with the competition.In the future, I look to continue seeking out challenging roles that allow me to be innovative, creative and risk-taking.
