Peter M. Senge is regarded as one of the most recognized and accomplished business gurus in the world. His book, The Fifth Discipline, introduced Systems Thinking and Learning Organizations at a global level. When Peter hired me, one of my first job descriptions included Chief of Staff, "Old School Apprentice" and Global Manager; this was arguably the coolest job I've ever had. My overarching goal was to bring alignment, momentum and impact to the individuals and organizations with whom Peter had longstanding relationships. To lead this my role included:Strategic Priorities: partnered with Peter to identify, implement and support key priorities that would create the impact at the scale we needed. Strategic Partnerships: Identified, engaged, and leveraged key partners, emerging networks, events, and clients in over 32 countries to increase the global impact of systems thinking. You're always negotiating- if you know it or not. If you are trying to come to agreement with someone else (and sometimes even yourself), you're negotiating. If you do not have a disciplined approach to these negotiations, you (and anyone you are negotiating on behalf of) are at a significant disadvantage. Leaders, in particular, are constantly navigating difficult and complex negotiations. Sometimes it's terms of a contract, sometimes it's another leader that just isn't able to see the bigger picture, and sometimes it's being able to get seeming disparate people to agree and move in the same direction. I help leaders go into those conversations confidently because they feel prepared and ready for any contingency. I immersed myself in the theory, research and practice of Harvard's flagship negotiation program, as both a teaching team member and member of Harvard Mediation Program's Curriculum Review Committee. With Harvard's Negotiation Workshop, I designed and taught classes on negotiation, with a focus on managing difficult conversations. I developed students'​ ability to practically apply cutting edge negotiation techniques confidently in a wide range of complex scenarios, be it law, business or social situations. With the Curriculum Review Committee I helped create a curriculum that prepares members of Harvard's Mediation Program to most effectively mediate complicated issues, in a variety of business, cultural and legal contexts.

Studies focused on designing, implementing and sustaining complex change, from executive coaching to team alignment and organization wide mobilization. I created a curriculum that offered formative learning experiences with some of the most cutting approaches to leading change. I've never been happier to get so little sleep.
