Jimmy Thangjam is a passionate social entrepreneur from Manipur, focused on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for marginalized rural youths (women and PWD) who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training, classified as NEET through his social ventures- Tweak Learning and Edubrium Institute Foundation.He holds a Master of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai, where he was a silver medalist. He also has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology. In his 8 years of professional journey as an IT and impact consultant, Jimmy has made a notable impact having led over 5 different projects, trained and mentored thousands of students, rural youths, and SHG women on livelihoods and entrepreneurship at both state and national levelsAdditionally, he works as a State Resource Person (SRP) for Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) and provides training and consulting support for Institution Building and Capacity Building, Non-Farm Livelihoods Activities for SHG women in Manipur. He also provides mentorship to aspiring young entrepreneurs in Manipur Technical University- Startup Incubation Center and to school students as a Regional Mentor of Change in Atal Tinkering Labs.For his various initiatives in social entrepreneurship, Jimmy has been recognized as a Social Startup Fellow by School of Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), India in 2023, Youth Delegate by Unite2030, New York in 2022, Changeloom Fellow by Pravah, New Delhi, Young Social Entrepreneur(YSE) by Singapore International Foundation and Finalist at the Youth Co:Lab by UNDP India in 2020.
