Jim is passionate about architecting, designing, and implementing IT enterprise software systems with more than two decades of experience. He spent the majority of his professional career as an Architect Software Engineer at XO Communications, now part of Verizon. Many of the programs, conceived and lead by Jim and deployed by XO, resulted in significant savings for the company in IT costs and a market first in fraud detection using location as the primary component. With a specialty in GIS spatial and geocoding applications, Jim spent the last 18 years creating highly scalable technically sophisticated SOA web service apps using Java, JEE (and more recently Scala and functional programming) leveraging Oracle and SQL Server Databases. Jim lead projects using Microsoft.NET/C# and related MVC for various support infrastructures. Proficient in Java, object modeling, Scala, FP (Functional Programming), enterprise application life-cycle management, and all related levels of DevOps and production support. Jim founded QA Locate in 2017 along with other senior tech and digital mapping executives. QA Locate is the first PaaS engine to revolutionize the location landscape by reducing the complexity of address data through a new system of record for identifying/storing/updating buildings, places and spaces, anywhere in the world. Our platform simplifies location communication from human to human, computer to computer, and computer to human for fraud prevention/detection, delivery/logistics, IoT, autonomous vehicles, and various applications where accuracy in location is mission-critical.
