Aldershot

Since August 2012, I have been working on a US implementation of LiFE, based in Aldershot, UK. This involves requirement definition, functional specification, technical specification and supervision of Noida programming resources.In May 2012, I spent 5 weeks supporting the UAT on a client site in Singapore.From February 2010, I was on site in Dublin Ireland supporting the client's European Hub. This work involved liaising with the local IT department, specifying changes to the LiFE system for development in Noida and supporting the Indian team remotely.In May 2009, I was sent to Noida, India to set up an offshore development centre. I remained on site in India for 10 months supporting the local team. This now supporting worldwide enhancements to the LiFE system for a major European insurer.

Life400 Team Leader. Responsibility for the development and test team for the RVS Life400 application. Technical Design and team management. During my short stay, I concentrated on team restructuring and modernisation of the system architecture.

Various development work including complete design and implementation of a new non-life product in Polisy/400, debugging and correction of problems with Business Objects triggered by DIary/400 and some minor Life/400 developments.

Consultancy on printing solutions for Life/400 (DIalogue implemented), returning customised version of LIfe/400 closer to base, converting the historical agency history to an external system and finally providing business consultancy on a SOA based Life Claims system.

I was in charge of the Life/400 development team. In this capacity, I helped design an alternative approach to business objects, enabling a 24:7 internet support for Polisy/400 base auto sales and Life/400 quotations. I was also responsible for Smart training and installed Smart upgrades and Diary/400.I was involved in various development projects both as manager and designer. I feel honoured to have spent 6 years in Japan.

Working on production of functional and technical specifications to improve the quality of financial reporting from the FSU/400 system. Supervised programming teams of various sizes, at different points during the development. Other responsibilities included Year 2000 System Test Planning and Supervision, Client Server education and bug fixing.

Responsible for the set up, administration and maintenance of the UK development environment and management of UK modifications to Ingenium. Also some Sales Support responsibility.

Various on site project work in a leading technical role working on Life/400 and Polisy/400. Project work was in various countries, including Hungary, Poland, Holland, Germany, Portugal, Sweden and Canada.

Provided programming services as part of a Paxus team on site in Stockholm. Later, I supported the Polisy system including operational support for the AS400.
