Provide leadership and direction within the IT department of Duke Medicine. In this role, I have successfully completed many initiatives in support of the business requirements of Duke Medicine. My major accomplishment over the last five years has been defining, promoting and leading the implementation of an infrastructure strategy for the applications that support clinical, administration and research operations across the institution. The standards and best practices within the strategy are divided into the layers of network, systems, storage, database, as well as data center facilities and security. Furthermore, this infrastructure has been implemented with a significant focus on virtualization at most layers, specifically the systems layer with VmWare and AIX DLPARs, the storage layer using SAN fabrics and fibre attached storage, and network isolation with VLANs where appropriate.

Successfully led the development and verification of embedded firmware for ASIC chipsets deployed within wireless networking(WLAN) products. Management of this project team required a broad understanding of many technologies, including the IEEE802.11 standards, industry interoperability standards, embedded firmware and the Microsoft Windows driver SDK.
